The story of my life has been comprised of many twists and turns; primarily full of overcoming obstacles and learning major life lessons. My life purpose is to help empower women to navigate in and around these obstacles associated with each chapter of our life.
From growing up as little girls where we were taught that we can do anything including playing ANY sport or taking on leadership roles in ANY industry, to becoming first time mothers and the struggle we face in managing home life and work life, to the challenges associated in our relationships with family, friends and our partners, and finally to the unjust challenges we face in the workplace as women, including sexual discrimination, unequal pay and being overlooked for positions of power.

As a TEDx, motivational speaker and media personality, Renata has been featured in outlets including Fitness, Prevention, Women’s Health and Crains. She has taken the stage numerous times as the CEO of Blazin Babes, as well as at conferences globally and was a guest speaker on NBC on the topic of career reinvention. She has used the power of her voice to lead and inspire since age 17 as president of her high school, Newton Country Day School of The Sacred Heart and now takes the stage globally to inspire people in overcoming adversity, reinventing their life and career and achieving their life purpose. Investor
Renata invests in early-stage startups, specifically female-founded startups with double-bottom-line impact. From health, to SaaS, to Femtech, to data analytics, to food and more, Renata has invested and advised countless of startups both as a venture capitalist, board member and advisor. She has partnered and worked with several global accelerators and founders over the years and as a 20+ year repeat founder and venture capitalist coupled with a foundation in finance as well as a merit scholar MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Renata’s academic, finance, network and breadth of experience has allowed her to evaluate startup investment opportunities from both a finance and operational lens.
Brand Ambassador
Renata believes in the power of one’s personal brand. Passionate about fashion and raised with an eye for sophisticated brands, Renata relishes in the fashion world and uses fashion to express herself. Her love for fashion inspired her to become a model at age 50 and now she serves as a brand ambassador for global brands on stage when she speaks or in print to support female-inspired designer. Blazin' Babes
In 2015, Renata launched Blazin' Babes, a female founder community originally launched to advise women on career development through the power of networking. Recognizing that 80% of our members were launching startups and new businesses, Renata pivoted Blazin' Babes to focus on custom programming and events to help female founders launch, scale and promote their startups while fostering a sense of community, inspiration and support. Blazin' Babes now supports female founders globally and as a mission-driven Benefit Corporation, gives back to disadvantaged groups including non-profits.
